There's planty happening in London this autumn, with new attractions and some changes at top tourist attractions. The Royal Academy opens its new exhibition space at Burlington Gardens, and there's a new "hop on, hop off" bus tour on offer from the Big Bus Company, plus lots more...
Royal Academy to open new space at Burlington Gardens
The Royal Academy of Arts will open its new space at Burlington Gardens on 18 October with the exhibition, 'Giorgio Armani: A Retrospective'. This major exhibition of the internationally renowned fashion designer will feature over 400 garments, alongside original sketches and video presentations. The exhibition will run until 15 February 2004.

New galleries at the Victoria & Albert Museum
The museum will display 2000 works from its extensive paintings collection in a new suite of five galleries, due to open on 26 November. Paintings will include works by Constable, Turner and Gainsborough, Blake, Millais, Boticelli and Degas to name but a few.

Shortlist for Trafalgar Square’s fourth plinth
Six artists have been shortlisted to create a contemporary artwork for the vacant fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square. They are Chris Burden, Sokari Douglas Camp, Stefan Gec, Sarah Lucas, Thomas Schutte and Marc Quinn. Working models of their proposed pieces will go on display in the National Gallery’s Sainsbury Wing foyer during December 2003 and January 2004.
Camden Arts Centre
Following a £4.2 million facelift, Camden Arts Centre will re-open to the public on 29 January 2004. Visitors will find enhanced gallery spaces showcasing new and emerging art from the UK and abroad, a brand new café, bookshop and studio facilities as well as an exciting programme for 2004.
Autumn Walk Special from the Big Bus Company
The Big Bus Company has announced special offers for new guided walks. Three walks are already included in the 24-hour hop-on, hop-off bus ticket but customers can now buy the walks separately. A package of all three walks can be purchased for £10 or a combined ghost walk plus pub meal can be bought for £10.
