Sleaford Castle
Sleaford, Lincolnshire, England
Sleaford Castle was built around 1123 by the Bishop of Lincoln as an administration centre for his estates in south Lincolnshire. It was defended by two moats fed by the River Slea. King John spent one of his last nights alive at Sleaford Castle in 1216, and Henry VIII visited it twice.
