Carswell Medieval House
One mile east of St Florence, off B4318, 3 miles west of Tenby. Cadw.
Two-storey later medieval house with a barrel-vaulted basement.

1770 house with 1860's wings. Contains excellent period plasterwork.

Lamphey Bishop's Palace
At Lamphey, from the A4139, Pembroke, Pembrokeshire. Tel. 01646 672224. Cadw.
A ruined medieval retreat for the bishops of St David's. Mainly the work of Henry de Gower, Bishop of St David's from 1328 to 1347. Later Tudor additions.

Tudor Merchant's House Tudor Merchant's House
At Tenby, (A478) Pembrokeshire. National Trust.
The Tudor Merchant's House is a late 15th century middle-class town house, located in Bridge Street. The house is furnished much as it was then and features a great fireplace and furnishings.

Bishop's Palace, St David's St David's Bishop's Palace
Next to St David's Cathedral in the town of St David's, (A487) Pembrokeshire. Cadw. Admission charge. For hours and prices, go to http://www.cadw.wales.gov.uk/news/item004.htm.
Built between 1328-47. An arcaded parapet and corbels decorate a number of the ruined buildings. The great hall porch is the most highly decorated part of the ruins.

Picton Castle
3 ½ miles southeast of Haverfordwest, on minor road off A487.
This Edwardian castle had four round towers. A four-storey block was added c1800. Further additions and restorations make it a modern residence with Georgian interiors. It has extensive gardens and grounds.

Scolton Scolton Country Park
Country Park, House, and Museum
On B4329, at Scolton, north of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Tel. 01437 731457.
Woodland Centre, children's play area, picnic area. Various events are staged throughout the year. This is an 1842 manor house of a country squire, authentically furnished with 11 period rooms on show. An interesting museum on the premises has many artifacts relating to Pembrokeshire country life.
