St Oswald's is a fascinating country church in the north Cotswold village of Compton Abdale.

The view of St Oswalds church from the east. Its quite a small church, certainly by comparison with some of its nearby neighbours like Northleach
Each pinnacle of the tower is ornamented with a carved figure of a wolf, which may indicate a tie with the Howe family of Cassey Comptont
The south door is terminated in a pair of corbel heads. This is the easternmost figure, wearing a style of cap popular around the time of Henry V.
This is the westernmost corbel head on the south door, wearing a Norman style cap
This painted tablet representing St George and the Dragon is above the pulpit. It dates to the period 1360 -1410 and was found when the church was renovated in the 20th century
This table tomb in the churchyard dates to the 14th century. It bears an incised cross and the likeness of a woman
