Beautiful setting, needs some tlc.
Stayed here for a week, to try glamping. It's still camping! Setting unique, so peaceful and secluded. Surrounding area fabulous. When yurt was new it would have been spectacular, but aside from creepy crawlies (it's on a lake, in a forest, so we expected those!), there were other areas which let it down. Spot cleaning excellent, lovely clean bedding and towels, loads of hot water. But place looks tired and run down, chipped paint on radiator, plus lots of dust, a patch of mushrooms growing inside yurt, dusty drawers under bed (only clothes storage area so we lived out of our suitcase), bathroom damp with lots of mouldy paint around skirting. Kitchen sink sealant peeling, a dead woodlouse in bathroom cabinet which was noted on a review last month, alongside an empty can, so this has not been cleaned for some time. Small details, easily rectified which have been overlooked and which spoilt it for me. With a little more care and attention thus could be a wonderful place again. Sykes have chosen not to publish my review to date which was similar to this, and I have tried unsuccessfully to contact them. I believe it to be a fair assessment, I am fussy about details!

17th wedding anniversary
Decided to do something a little different for our anniversary this year. And so glad we did what a great getaway very secluded and private our yurt was clean and tidy. A large comfortable bed large bath tub and a well stocked kitchen. The under floor heating was Brilliant. The hot tub was beautifully hot and after a day out walking we chilled in it. The sauna was a great way to relax aching muscles. Even in December the yurt was in a sheltered area that meant we spent time outside having bbqs feeding swans ducks and geese. The owners we met at the start were very helpful and showed us around and how to work things. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a getaway to relax. Some beautiful walks and places to visit

Perfect
The pictures do not do this place justice! I have never stayed in a yurt before, but I?m already looking into visiting more yurts! Clean, well presented and all the amenities you would need. Comfortable bed and a very cute touch with a pull down screen and projector with a wide range of dvds to chose from, perfect to watch in the evenings with the door open feeling the fresh air. The hot tub made the evenings perfect for when the outside temperature would drop, to sit in there with a glass of wine and watch the ducks on the lake. The lake itself made our experience. Quiet and calm lake with all different ducks, swans, geese etc. rowing around the lake was not only fun but so romantic. We took a stroll into the village and it is so clean and so quiet, the pub was lovely and welcoming and serves good quality food. I really do recommend this place I would love to return and spend a week instead of a couple days! So much to explore and see. Me and my partner had the best time what a lovely tranquil setting.... thankyou!

Fantastic
There is only one word for this place and that is AMAZING :) booked this for my fiance's birthday we did not know what to expect as we have never stayed in a yurt before, but omg was we blown away!! From the yurt to the surrounding area and the wildlife, it's just the most perfect place for you to relax, unwind and recharge your battery's. My fiance was in his element, fishing and out on the private boat, also the private hot tub and sauna make it that extra special, the underfloor heating made the yurt so warm and cosy and had the most comfortable bed, we enjoyed our 3 night stay here and will definitely be back:)
