A small chapel is set into the north east corner of the nave of St Mary's. Here you will find a large monument to Eleanor Hungerford, d. 1592. The effigy of the deceased is beautifully dressed, and lies in state in a recess below a carved scroll. There is no trace of paint to be seen, unlike so many tombs of this period.
