 photo, Sorbie Tower

This little known tower house stands in a wooded grove in rural Wigtownshire, Dumfries and Galloway. The castle probably dates to the late 16th century, and has long been associated with Clan Hannay. A stone's throw from the current ruin is a castle motte dating to the 11th century or earlier.
