English Heritage events, Christmas 2011 and Spring 2012

Our friends at English Heritage have just made available to us their upcoming schedule of events for the Christmas season and the first few months of 2012. Events at historic properties are an enjoyable way to spend some family time over the holidays and at the same time sneak a bit of history under the kid's radar in the guise of good-old fashioned fun.

Events range from appearances by Father Christmas at venues like Kenilworth Castle, to time travel events at Bolsover Castle, to art and craft workshops in several locations. You can even learn to ride at historic Audley End House in Essex or sleep over at Pendennis Castle, Cornwall. Some events are free to members, but most events are open to anyone. Some do require prebooking, but many do not.
