Canterbury photo, St George's Tower

The clock tower is all that remains of the medieval church of St George. The remainder was damaged in a WWII bombing raid and had to be puled down. A plaque at the base of the tower commemorates the fact that playwright Christopher Marlowe was baptised in the church.
