Lothian Self Catering cottage, Gate Lodge, West Calder, sleeps 6

Disappointing
Beautiful location. Unfortunately the cottage is tired, has maintenance issues, has a railway running through bottom of the garden and is way too small for 6 people. The cottage has no wardrobes and no where to unpack clothes. The Kitchen is tiny and has a very small under counter fridge more like this of a caravan couldn't even put 2 litre carbton of milk in. Also no empty cupboard to place food. Living room has furniture for 4 and dining table for 4 but you have to move table to be able to sit at it and then block of access to kitchen. Bathroom seal moulded and 1 cm gap between bath and tiles, shower useless. Bathroom handle fell off. Ensuite is smallest ever seen. Positives are location but beware very noisy from train at bottom of garden, garden is not secure so dangerous for dogs and kids with railway, garden also very boggy. Even through bins put out weren't emptied and would appear previous guests had same problem as bins were overflowing. No carpet in living room and furniture not very comfortable. Extremely disappointing. We were 3 and space was cramped . Poor layout.
