There is also a first floor bathroom and open-plan living room with kitchen, breakfast bar/dining area and sitting area with a sofa bed, so two additional guests can join you if you wish. Church House offers a wonderful getaway with glorious sea views, close to the Cairngorms National Park in an interesting part of Scotland.

Church House has stunning views from the arched window. Sympathetic modern layout, comfortable and relaxing a joy to return to. The Anchor Hotel 100 yards away serves great local seafood. The Ship which is the local pub is a couthy wee pub to visit. Hidden Treasure Tearoom on the harbour front does home made soups and fresh snacks , traybakes and cakes. Hourly bus service is reliable and clean. Take bus to Gourdon the next village north. Enjoy a coffee or a pint at the local pub and enjoy a 3 mile coast walk back to Johnshaven. Plenty of walks inland such as Glen Esk and the Iron age forts. So much to see and enjoy in the area. Every day you can go somewhere new.
