Accommodation Description:

A light spacious suite with rural views and just over a mile to Newport town centre with its shops pubs restaurants and a multi-screen cinema. The suite has a king size bed and if needed a double sofa bed and a folding single bed dining area. There is also a private lounge area and private sun deck.

There is a modern shower room with toilet. A short walk to the Newport to Cowes cycle track and River Medina. Free on-site parking and free WiFi in the suite.

Bank Cottage is a hidden gem and comes as a surprise for many visitors even local residents who do not know that this part of Newport even exists. We're situated about thirty minutes on foot from the centre of town and are also close to the Cowes/Newport cycle path which follows the route of the old railway track along the Medina River. We're perfectly located for easy access to all areas of the Island by car bus bike or foot.

We have private off-road parking and can offer storage facilities for bikes and walking boots if required. Despite being close to the town it truly feels as if you're in the heart of the countryside surrounded by trees and fields. Please note we are situated in an unlit country lane.

We are also ideally located for anyone working in or visiting the nearby Industrial/Business estates of St Cross Business Park, Dodnor Park, St Mary's Hospital and the Isle of Wight College. Our property consists of one large light self-contained suite which can accommodate up to five people if required with a king-sized bed optional double sofa bed and a folding single bed. The room is located on the first floor and has a light and spacious shower room with toilet and private sun-deck with table and chairs all exclusively for the use of our guests.

Bank Cottage is approximately 3 miles from the nearest beach but we are no more than 30 minutes to farthest parts of the Island with its many beaches attractions. We are conveniently placed for anyone on a walking or cycling holiday or the motor cycle and scooter weekends during the year. The Isle of Wight Festival site is within walking distance and the Bestival site is a few miles away.

For nature lovers there are a number of forests to visit with Parkhurst Forest close by. The Isle of Wight is one of the few places in the British Isles that is home to the Red Squirrel and we have some that visit our front garden. Buzzards and Kestrels are also frequent visitors.
