Upton Castle

 photo, Upton Castle

Upton Castle dates to the 13th century, but much of the surviving buildings are later additions stretching from the 15th to the 19th century. The castle itself is not open to the public, but it is set in 35 acres of gardens laid out along the Carew River. The gardens are regularly open to the public, and the castle can easily be viewed from the grounds.
