Cwmllechwedd Uchaf is a beautiful, family holiday home surrounded by a working farm and rural countryside, six miles from Llanilar in Mid Wales. The property can sleep eight people in four bedrooms, including a king-size double room with an en-suite bathroom, a double room and two twin rooms. There is a bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor, accessed down two stairs from the open plan living space, which has a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburner.

There is also a separate sitting room with another woodburning stove and outside, a patio with furniture and a barbecue. Across the stream, a bridge leads up a path to another seating area overlooking the brook and there is off road parking for three years.

Thoroughly recommended
We have just returned from a 2 week stay here and can honestly say it has to be the most relaxing, peaceful getaway we have had in all our years holidaying. We wanted somewhere secluded, quirky, with a garden, plenty of space, WiFi (important for the teenagers!), that dogs were allowed but also close enough to Aberystwyth to visit family, which we got and more! The welcome gifts are a lovely extra touch and any niggles were sorted out straight away (the freeview box stopped working). We had no problems or issues and were made to feel comfortable should we need to make contact. We miss sitting on the swing in the evening with the only sounds being the sheep in the distance and the water from the stream. Thankyou for such wonderful memories.

An amazing rural cottage in a beautiful part of the world.
Wow what a picturesque cottage Cwmllechwedd is. From arriving at the cottage to leaving we enjoyed every minute. Jim and Anne left us the best welcome pack we had ever seen with even treats for our dog and fresh flowers on the table. To just sit in the beautiful large garden and take in the amazing views was just what we needed. When we wasn?t relaxing we was playing the horseshoe game in the garden which passed a good few hours and got very competitive and addictive. From the garden you could walk miles and miles, there is a stile straight from the garden around Jim's fields which he allows you to wander and at the side of the house is a bridle way which takes you into the forest where you can spend a good few hours wandering around and never meet a sole. We will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone. If you enjoy the outdoors then this is the place for you.

Fabulous cottage
We are a party of six with a small baby. The cottage exceeded our expectations. A lovely welcome pack awaited us from locally sourced produce (including a bottle of bubbly) which certainly made us feel instantly at home. The property was immaculately prepared, clean, warm and beautifully finished. Large, efficient wood-burning stoves and a very effective central heating system kept out the cold. The location is beautiful with plenty of walks near-by it even has it's own river running through the garden, a nature lover's paradise. We have stayed in countless rental properties around the country and this is one of the best we've used. Highly recommended

Hidden Gem, perfect place to chill out
A brilliant place to relax and chill out, fab cottage and gardens, great for adults, children and even dogs!!. owners very friendly and helpful, treats left for us on our arrival ( bottle of prosecco, home made welsh cake and scones, milk and even treats for the dog.)walks from front door are stunning. would highly recommend this holiday cottage.

gorgeous, quiet, restful
This house is set amongst hills in a beautiful, isolated spot, with a brook running past the door. All you can hear is birdsong and water. Lots of lovely walks, and paradise for dogs. The house is 250 years old and is gorgeous inside. Bedrooms cosy, bathrooms great, downstairs homely and comfy, with log burners and 3 ft thick walls ! The owners, Jim and Ann, have made a lovely job of it. We were greeted on arrival by flowers, wine, scones and cake (Bara brith ?), This made our arrival extra special. There are lots of lovely beaches not far away, and Devils Bridge is a spectacular spot to visit. Sarah, who looks after the house, was very helpful with directions and information, of which there is lots in the house. We will be going there again, but maybe a little earlier in the summer, as the weather wasnt the best !
