The Lazy Otter owned by Annette Gwinnett is set in the heart of Cambridgeshire nestled on the banks of the Old West River with far reaching views across the Garden with a kids play area the Marina and the Fenland Countryside.

We have a reputation for making everyone feel welcome with our passion for good food good service fabulous wine and our local real ales. On our five hand pulls we feature local ales from the Milton Brewery Woodfordes and Adnam's and stock wines from the Carters vineyard at Boxted Colchester. We also stock a large variety of cider.

Informal and relaxed dining is our rule. Our restaurant has a modern contemporary feel with stunning views over the River and Marina. Our food is locally sourced and seasonal with fresh fish everyday direct from the Norfolk coast.We are well renowned for our Sunday roasts and our fresh homemade desserts that take your eye on your way through to the restaurant.

We are a huge fan of clean well behaved dogs so your beloved friend is more than welcome to join you in the bar. The three en-suite rooms at the ?otter? are individually designed and equipped with all the little extras to make your stay comfortable. All rooms have: A digital flat screen TV/DVD, Phone docking station, Luxury complimentary toiletries, Tea & coffee making facilities, Hairdryers, Egyptian cotton sheets, Free Wifi, Full English breakfast included.

The Lazy Otter is the ideal base to strike out to Ely and visit Oliver Cromwell's house tour the stunning Cathedral take a stroll along the river or even hire a boat. Cambridge is also only 11 miles away and is home to the colleges and punting along the famous Backs, the Fitzwilliam Museum plus shopping in the Grand Arcade with all its designer shops. Or if you fancy a flutter Newmarket is only 20 mins away so visit the famous July racecourse for a day of exhilarating horse racing
