Ireby Old Church Photo, Nave columns

When the new church was built in 1847 the nave of the Old Church was pulled down. For many years these 13th century columns served as gateposts for a local cottage. They were returned to the Old Church churchyard in 1972 and set atop their original column bases outside the current west door.
