A pair of fascinating effigies. These are quite unusual in that they are said to represent the same man. One effigy shows him as a young man, in the garb of a soldier. The other shows him as an old man, now dressed as a hermit. The effigies are thought to have been brought to the abbey from the church of St Alkmund
