Wren Cottage is situated in the heart of the county of Rutland in the delightfully picturesque conservation village of Wing, near the town of Uppingham. Entering through the property, you are welcomed into a small entrance hall with an admirable sitting room to the right, featuring plentiful seating and a TV, where you can look forward to unwinding after exciting days out. This leads off into a wonderful open-plan kitchen/dining room with a splendid combination of both countryside and contemporary décor, and appliances including a stunning Rayburn that supports both the cooking and the heating, ceramic hob, dishwasher, dining seating for five, and elegant French-style large windows which allows appealing natural light into the room.
Situated next to this room is a separate pantry area with additional cupboard space, a fridge with freezer compartment, and a microwave. Leading from this area is a hallway where you'll find a cloakroom with a hand basin, WC, and a washing machine for all your utility needs. Heading upstairs to the first floor is a family bathroom including a bath with a combination tap, WC and hand basin, and a well-decorated double bedroom and twin room, each with ample storage space and a homely feature fireplace.
At the rear of the cottage is a superb long garden and patio area suitable for enjoying a pleasant evening of alfresco dining in the sun. The property benefits from a tranquil, quiet village location, and is within close proximity to several towns that are well worth a visit. For those seeking adventure, head to Rutland Water Reserve, one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe, which offers scenic cycling and walking routes around the water, and a wide range of superb amenities, including a bug and reptile zoo, nature reserve, children's play area, golf, fishing, birdwatching, as well as lakeside restaurants and exciting water sports and a small water adventure park during the summer months.
Venture only slightly further afield to come across the picturesque Georgian town of Stamford, which is recognised as one of the finest stone towns in England, with its winding River Welland, lush meadow community park, beautiful church, and splendid cobbled stone Georgian high streets, which boast an excellent variety of eateries, quirky independent shops as well as popular shopping outlets.
