Beautiful views but wrong way round??
This was number 20, a semi-detached bungalow, atop a very quiet hill overlooking Keswick - just 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. The property was well furnished and had everything we needed BUT...the view from the large paved patio was absolutely stunning. The lounge, however, looked in the other direction - to the houses across the road. Very fortunately we had very good weather all week so we dined on the patio each night (a bit of a parp carrying everything round the side to get to it but well worth it in the end) Had it been wet we would have been confined in the evenings to a comparatively gloomy, if well furnished, lounge with no view at all. Probably a bit cramped for four adults but an idillic stay for two. No good for disabled or elderly people - too many steps. Keswick is the jewel in the crown that is the English Lake District and we walked every day enjoying lovely countryside and splendid panoramas over Borrowdale, Skiddaw and the Helvellyn range. When the weather is this good, who needs Spain??

Perfect Lakeland Base, Keswick UK
The place was perfectly located in a quite road within walking distance to Keswick and the Lake. Everything we needed was provided, and a nice surprise was the free WiFi. It was a perfect base for exploring the local fells, and the views from the kitchen and main bedroom were to die for. Adequate heating ensured a warm evening. Highly Recommended!
