Located in the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National and nestled between the ancient site of Bolton Castle and the astounding Aysgarth Falls the Wheatsheaf Inn offers relaxing accommodation for walkers tourists and visitors of the Yorkshire Dales. In 1941 James Herriot and his wife Helen spent their honeymoon at the Wheatsheaf. In his book he describes how much they enjoyed the warm hospitality and excellent food.
This is a tradition that we keep very much alive today with real ales good food and log fires.
