Castle Acre Castle photo, Castle Acre Castle

Just to clear up any possible confusion, Castle Acre is the name of this lovely Norfolk village, within which are the ruins of a medieval priory and this Norman castle and earthworks. The castle was built by William de Warenne, Earl of Surrey, in the late 11th century.
