Wray Castle is a Victorian mock Gothic castle on the west shore of Lake Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District. Wray was built by a wealthy Liverpool surgeon named Dawson. Author Beatrix Potter was a frequent visitor to the house, which is open on specific days only during the summer months.
