Haverfordwest Castle photo, Haverfordwest Castle

There's not a lot left of Haverfordwest Castle save the very substantial walls, but it still looms over the town below. The first wooden fortification here dates to the early 12th century, but around 1288 it was rebuilt in stone. It was once owned by Eleanor of Castile, queen to Edward I.
