Glenashdale Falls is a double waterfall with a combined drop of 140 feet (45m), reached by an easy walk from Ashdale Bridge in Whiting Bay. Two viewing platforms allow outstanding views of the waterfalls. A trail leads on to the Giant's Graves Neolithic chambered cairns.

Goatfell (or 'Goat Fell' depending on your spelling preferences) is the highest peak on Arran, at 874 metres (2,866 feet). If you're a keen mountaineer that means it is almost a 'Munro' (peak over 3000 feet), but not quite! Paths lead to the summit of Goatfell from Brodick Castle and country park, and from the spectacular Glen Rosa. The fell and surrounding countryside are managed by the National Trust for Scotland.

King's Cave is a natural sandstone cave in the southwestern corner of Arran, said to be the place where King Robert Bruce had his legendary encounter with a spider than convinced him to try again to take the throne of Scotland. The cave walls are carved with a fascinating array of figures including horses, deer, crosses, and humans.
