Closer by, the village of Inchture is nestled between the Sidlaw Hills and the River Tay, one of Perthshire and Scotland's most beautiful areas. There are many places of historical interest close by including Scone Palace and Gardens, Blair Castle, Glamis Castle, the popular Verdant Works and Captain Scott's historic ship Discovery, at Discovery Point. The Inchture Hotel has two excellent choices for dining.

The first is the relaxed conservatory restaurant, The Priory, offering fine cuisine and an extensive wine list.
