Thise 19th-century parkland and botanic gardens offer one of the largest collections of plants in Wales. Singleton Park Botanic Gardens is especially notable for colourful herbaceous borders, at their best in August.
The herbaceous borders are in bloom from March through October. Even during the winter months the garden boasts up to 200 species of flowers in bloom.
Beyond herbaceous borders the main features of the garden include a rock garden, ornamental garden and Japanese bridge. There are large glasshouses, and herb garden, and an area of plants for sale.
Singleton Park Botanic Gardens is operated by Swansea Council, and is set in Singleton Park. The gardens are free to enter, and special tours and events are staged in August when the gardens are at their colourful best.
