A rare museum by and about a living artist! The ALMS showcases the sculpture, art, and jewellery of Andrew Logan.

Logan's work almost defies traditional categorisation; he sculpts in whatever materials are on hand, and transforms everyday objects into art, incorporating the natural world into his artistic creations.

Logan was born in Oxford in 1945 and qualified as an architect before turning his attention to fields as diverse as opera, drama, stage design, sculpture, and interior design, to name just a few. His work has been exhibited internationally as far afield as Mexico and Russia.

The museum hosts works of art in a wide variety of media, from sculpture, portraits, water colours, and jewellery to a collection of photographs from the 1960s up to the present day. Many works were inspired by Logan's world travels. Look for The Living Taj Mahal, or Egypt Revisited for a glimpse into Logan's globetrotting world.

There are regular public workshops aimed at inspiring both young and old to explore and enjoy art. One visitor called the museum 'the friendliest museum in Britain'.
