History, tourist information, and nearby accommodation
HERITAGE RATING:

Shipley Gardens
An unusual, semi-wild garden located in beautiful Herefordshire countryside, Shipley Gardens have been created over the last 40 years on a site occupied since Roman times. The gardens are a part of 30 acres of mixed habitat set beside an escarpment on the edge of the Wye Valley.
The gardens feature a mix of wild and cultivated plant varieties in distinct garden rooms, with ornamental shrubs and trees, providing a habitat for butterflies, insects, birds, and small mammals. An unusual and whimsical garden, with something of interest throughout the year.
