This detached barn conversion close to Llangollen has exposed beams and a woodburner, and sleeps six people over three bedrooms.

A detached barn conversion on a smallholding close to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Canal. Stylishly decorated and furnished with care, this comfortable cottage has exposed beams, a woodburner and three bedrooms, one which has en-suite facilities. This is a quality cottage, whose well-equipped kitchen, attractive bedrooms and lovely sitting room make a perfect base to return to after a day exploring the area.

The cottage has its own garden, which has furniture and countryside views towards the famous Castell Dinas Bran ruins, a wonderful spot for a summer BBQ. Visit pretty Llangollen, enjoy a horse-drawn boat trip or venture over to Snowdonia or the Isle of Anglesey.

Completely dog-friendly
Now we have a little dog (18 months old) we choose holiday homes that fit in with her. Bryn Howell was perfect - the garden is completely enclosed and you may use the adjacent field if the cattle aren't there. Bigger than it looks in the pics, with three good bedrooms (we all had brilliant sleeps), 2 terrific showers and 1 lovely deep bath. Lounge has 2 big couches, armchair, bean bag and pouffe so lots of sitting space. We went end May and weather was a bit iffy so we used the central heating once or twice and everything warmed up super-quick. There is also a log burner but not cold enough to warrant using it. Canal path is just outside the gate and it's an easy and pleasant 40 mins' walk to Llangollen. It's also the way to the nearby Sun pub (10/15 mins) which serves really tasty pub fayre and, again, is extremely dog-friendly. The owners live to the rear of the property - near enough if you need them but otherwise you wouldn't know they were there. Highly recommended.

Very well equipped holiday accommodation
We stayed st Bryn Howell Stables for a week in April and thought the accommodation was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is situated in a very scenic area with plenty of facilities nearby. The canal is very close and ideal for taking a walk. Llangollen is very close, it a bustling town with plenty to do and with good eating places.

A lovely location and lovely feel to the place. We all loved it.

A really pleasant and comfortable property. A good, enclosed garden for the dog and excellent views. We slept well in the good beds and had everything we needed.
Mr Brown

The property was just as described; peaceful and right next to canal which was just ideal.
