Let down the night before arrival. We booked 2 lodges and PAID IN FULL via booking.com and received an email at 11:00pm the night before arrival saying our lodges were cancelled and we were being refunded. 12 women that paid at least £100.00 per head to travel to Macclesfield to reach the destination completely left with zero apologies or alternatives, until we were called and given an alternative by booking.com. We also had to cancel a pre-ordered meal in a local business in Congleton. ABSOLUTE COWBOYS in Oak Lodge. Disgrace. I wouldn't bank on staying here, for a small town, reputation is everything. You just almost ruined a celebratory weekend for a reunion of ladies that hadn't seen eachother for 5 years.

The owners were extremely welcoming and were happy to help out if we needed anything. The area was perfect for walking and it was a great location to visit several tourist attractions. The pub served great food which was more than plentiful. The owners made you feel special but never intruded on the vacation. It was perfect, we are booking again for the same time next year.

We had a lovely time; the lodge is very comfortable.
Mrs Pearce

A home from home without the stress. It was just what we needed, relaxing and peaceful, the pub was lovely and the owners were delightful, caring without being obtrusive. A great location for just popping out for an hour should you want to. We would go again.
Mrs Turner

The lodge was sited in a very quiet and tranquil location, handy for touring the area. The owner and staff of the lodge and adjacent Inn were extremely helpful and attentive.
