This wonderful barn conversion on the edge of the Forest of Dean in Shortstanding can sleep two people in one bedroom.

Arles Barn is a wonderful, barn conversion set on the edge of the Forest of Dean in the charming village of Shortstanding. Set entirely on the ground floor, this barn conversion boasts a delightful king-size double bed and a shower room and can sleep two people. There is an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a warming electric stove. Outside, there is a patio with furniture and off road parking for one car. Arles Barn truly is the perfect romantic retreat for couples exploring Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean.

the barn is excellent, very tastefully renovated and comfortable. it is located in a very friendly village with a great pub and within walking distance of Yat rock. the owners are very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. myself wife and Labrador dog had a great week there. we will definitely visit again.

It does'nt need to take a sentence.......Just one word.....Perfection.
'It does exactly what it say's on the tin'....There is no more that I can say about the property that is'nt truthfully portrayed in the owners explanation of this accommodation (except, maybe, the minor inconvenience that the patio lights switch seemed to be operated by a switch in the boiler cupboard instead of by the door or on a PIR) Pat and I spent a wonderful week there with Abbie the Ancient Yellow Labbie. On arrival we were welcomed by the very attentive and friendly Graham who is justifiably very proud of his achievement in converting the barn to this high very standard. His knowledge of the surrounding area and features ought to qualify him for an award with The English Tourist Board!! and he was always readily available for anything such as the loan of local maps etc.. But at the same time he was never 'in your face' (a pretty rare and very welcome quality).Thank you Graham, We must return. Roy.

Great accomidation in lovely spot
We had a great 5 night stay with our dog. Despite the weather we were lovely and warm with the underfloor heating! The owners were lovely and full of good advice about all the attractions, walking nearby and even brought over an old blanket for our dog. very reasonably priced and highly recommend

The details of the property, and the cozy feeling of the decor, despite being right next to a road we where amazed by how quiet the area is, very relaxing, the owners where very polite and great for local tips on places to visit and see.
