Poor cleaning and badly maintained- such a shame
This property could be lovely, it's really well located and appointed. Decorating is to a good standard. Unfortunately the cleaning is very poor, we arrived after a long journey to a dirty smelly house. The property stank of fish due to waste in the bottom of the bin. The floors hasn?t seen a hoover in sometime. Having contacted the letting agent we were assured the cleaner would attend. Hours later we had to clean ourselves so that we could put the children to bed. The hoover had to be emptied. This is disappointing at anytime let alone during Covid. The maintenance is also not to standard. We had a shower totally flood the bathroom as it was so badly blocked. The maintenance did attend quickly to resolve that. There is also something loose on the roof which bangs throughout the night and a number of blinds that fall down. It's such a shame, this is a very nice holiday home let down by cleaning and maintenance,

Beautiful house
We've stayed at many houses in the Lake District but this has to be the best equipped and presented. The house has been renovated to a very high standard from the basement upwards; in the basement there is a flat screen smart TV with a games console, a sofa that can be converted to a bed, a washing machine, dryer, shower and sauna room. On the ground floor a lounge with another flat screen TV, a wood burning stove and three piece suite; there is a large kitchen with electric hob and oven, with a large dining table. You go upstairs to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms, a bedroom with two bunk beds; on the second floor there are a further two bedrooms, both en suite with baths and one has a jacuzzi bath.
The house is clean, very well equipped and comfortable with plenty to, do and is very close (2 minute walk) to Windermere town centre, where there are shops, pubs and restaurants. We will definitely stay again, the house is a credit to the owner.

Lovely, but BIG hot water problem.
A lovely, beautifully decorated well equipped property in a good location. Short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants in Windermere. Our biggest problem was the fact that the owner rationed the hot water via an app. This meant that our young people ,who were engaged in outdoor activities ,could not have a hot shower before dinner. It took 4 days and numerous phone calls before the owner dealt with this which was very frustrating. Hopefully this won't happen to anyone else, but my advice is to check before you go as it could spoil a holiday if you have babies, small children or are active and need showers after a day outdoors.

Loved it here!!! Dad's surprise party!
We arrived here on Friday night - our family arrived earlier in the day and got in with no problems and were able to park in 2 bays outside.
We booked this as a surprise trip for my Dad's 60th, we booked this as he loves the Lakes and what set this place apart from the beginning was although it was not 'cheap' to stay here it was much more reasonable than competitors & so much more modern.
Every room is finished to the highest quality & we all found a comfortable, cosy room!
We had 3 children with us & each of them were equipped for with 2 travel cots & a spare mattress for the oldest. All 3 bathrooms are gorgeous, especially the 2 en suite that our party loved.
So central & around everything in Bowness, short walks either side to places of interest and lots of shops very nearby. We were able to park 3rd and 4th cars in nearby streets without permits thanks to the knowledge of John!
The men inhabited the man cave for the duration of the weekend and my 5-year old nephew especially loved the touch of the Xbox with lots of games, very good touch!
I don't have enough adjectives to describe how lovely this place is or how much we loved the weekend here! All I would say is that it has more to offer than is advertised: washing machine, drier, iron & board, hairdryers, towels, travel cots & wish we had known about the sofa bed earlier haha!
Thanks so much to John & the holiday company - Dad had such a great birthday, we all loved it & can't wait to come back! Hoping the price still sets it apart when we come back! As my nephew said it's his new favourite house!
