A real 'get away from it all' cottage
Located only yards from the pebble beach near the end of a lane, Seaviw Cottage is ideal for a quiet hoiday or as a base to explore the area. We found it well-equipped and with a lovely comfortable main bedroom. Would we stay there again? Yes, certainly!

Peaceful hideaway & perfect base for exploring East Sussex
A real gem. Looking forward to returning again, as we fell in love with Normans Bay and Seaview. We stayed at the cottage during a bitterly cold week in the winter, but were blessed with sunshine almost every day and Seaview kept us so cosy and warm. The perfect peaceful hideaway with easy access to the beach just yards away and to nearby Eastbourne, Hastings and the stunning rural areas of the South Downs, Pevensey Levels and the Weald.
Olde Worlde charming cottage, sympathetically and tastefully updated by the caring owner, with a pretty shared garden full of birdsong. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the rooms recently decorated with comfortable furnishings and all you could need for a self-catering holiday. The ceiling height is low, so do bear this in mind if you are tall. The bed in the master bedroom is amazingly comfy to sleep on and the room has a sea view where you can watch the sunrise or the stars at night. The twin beds are also comfy and the room overlooks the garden. A lovely hot shower and bath with good water pressure. WiFi and Freeview. The modern adjustable heaters in every room keep the cottage super cosy; have no fear you will not feel cold even when it's below zero degrees outside.
At low tide there are sandy areas on the beach and toward the east, adjacent large sandy beaches toward Cooden Beach. But if you're curious about other things to do in this part of East Sussex, you will be spoilt for choice.
There are many historical houses and gardens in the area, plus country gastro pubs, Cineworld cinema at the Crumbles complex close to Pevensey Bay, Drusillas Zoo, adventure golf/pitch n?putt in both Eastbourne and Hastings, stunning walks and views along the coast at Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters, Cuckmere Haven, High and Over and several Sussex nature reserves. For unique shopping check out the local galleries, antique shops/flea markets and independent shops in Lewes and Old Town Hastings. We recommend the local fish from Pevensey, or available from the fishmongers on the Fisherman's Green in Eastbourne.
The coastal train track runs close by with a station halt at Normans Bay; it would probably take about ten mins to walk from the halt. You can access the Ashford to Brighton line and the London Victoria/London Bridge lines. Also, by changing trains at Haywards Heath you can also access the Thameslink service to Blackfriars/Bedford, or change at Hastings for the Charing Cross line. There is parking outside the cottage for one vehicle and being a private road there is very limited through traffic. The nearest bus service runs from the neighbouring village of Pevensey Bay into Eastbourne, Bexhill or Hastings. Taxi firms are based in Eastbourne and do not seem to mind coming out to Normans Bay to collect/drop off.
If you are seeking a quiet location with nearby beach access and space to just relax, it's the perfect spot for a break at any time of year and we highly recommend Seaview. But should you want an active holiday it's also an ideal base for exploring East Sussex and enjoying water sports, paragliding, golf or fishing. The best of both worlds.

Enjoyed the peaceful location, and being able to see the sea from my bed! Being in such close proximity to the beach was ideal for daily strolls to enjoy the sunshine and watch an amazing thunderstorm over the sea from the safety of the cottage. There is lots to do in the area, which is seeped in history and arts and open spaces.
