Dorset Self Catering cottage, Lychgate Cottage, Osmington, sleeps 4

Doesn?t live up to the image.
It's a very picturesque cottage in a beautiful village. Very safe garden and ideally placed for touring the Jurassic coast. The bed linen was spotless and the shower was excellent. However, we had a pile of un-bagged dirty bed linen by the front door from arrival on the Saturday until Wednesday, despite me ringing more than once for it to be removed. We didn?t find the information booklet until the Thursday when we discovered it in a magazine rack covered in cobwebs. There were dust bunnies under the settee, the kitchen mat was absolutely filthy and the table top was falling off meaning we couldn?t eat there. We knew parking might be difficult, and it was, plus there are now several private notices telling you not to park opposite drives, understandable if you're a local and having difficulty getting your car out. Would I go back? No. Would I recommend it? No. Finally I must add I?ve sent the same review to Sykes, I?ve never complained before as we all have our individual standards and, by and large, I?ve always been satisfied. But, in my opinion, this cottage needs a really thorough clean.
