Stay away from this place and Sykes Cottages
Nasty, racist neighbours that prevented us from staying in the property with threats and verbal abuse. Upon arrival we had to find a hotel to stay as we couldn?t stay at the property. We rented this place via Sykes Cottages and when we explained the abuse from the neighbours and that we had to stay in a hotel, they replied saying the housekeeper said we did stay at the property and therefore there was nothing to make a complaint about. This is a despicable racket they are running. Stay away from that street/address and mostly from Sykes Cottages.

Pleasant stay
Overall, this was a nice stay, beautiful location and the property was very clean upon arrival. Very short walk to town which was handy. Also being a car owner I was worried there would not be enough parking. This wasn't the case, there was plenty roadside and we did not have any issues in the week of staying. Downsides.. The sofa was not great at all, considering the amount of people that stay I am surprised it has not been recognised that the springs have gone, there is bowing in the middle which is uncomfortable. Another downside was the beds in the property, both of which if you are anything taller than 5' 9" your feet will hang over the bottom due to their dimensions. They are very small double beds, if you roll around and enjoy space to move then this is simply too small. The covers also reflecting this. Overall, the property was a pleasant stay and the property itself is very nicely decorated. The WiFi is also well needed around this area of you are on certain providers as you loose a lot of connectivity, I am presuming due to the mountains. Main thoughts are good, its a shame they have not updated certain items within the property as this could be made so much richer.

Great situation for the Convention
We are three friends who come to the convention each year. We rented this property because of its proximity to the main site for the convention, and because of its sofa bed, effectively making it a three-room apartment on a budget. We liked the sitting room and the well stocked kitchen, and the fact that there were two shower rooms/loos, one en-suite, and the other next to the back bedroom, but well sound-proofed. The only slight down side was the tendency for the sofa bed to go "boing" in the middle of the night! For a two bedroom let, we thought it was excellent, especially as it has a small utility room as well. Even with the convention, it was quiet, and parking was possible outside.

Comfortable, good location
Stayed here with my husband and some extended family. It is well laid out for more than one couple as bedrooms are at diffrent ends of the cottage and the property has two bathrooms. Good sized bedrooms and lounge. Kitchen is on the small side but adequate for our needs. Separate laundry with combined washer/drier which was very useful as we were on a walking holiday! Very good location easy walk in to the town and to supermarkets and 5-10 mins to the lake. Property is in good condition and was clean and tidy when we arrived.

Handy for the Convention centre
We recently stayed in this ground floor accommodation when we attended the Keswick Convention (which was great!) with a friend in a wheelchair. Although it is not advertised as suitable for the disabled, it met our needs - just!. The double bedroom with ensuite was roomy but the bathroom proved a bit of a challenge, being a bit on the small size, the wash basin is very small. The second double bedroom was down 3 steps, together with the other bathroom - it was again a bit small but the shower was good. The kitchen had all we needed in the way of equipment, and the dining room/lounge was comfortable. It was good to have a large size TV screen. There is access from the rear but no garden. Parking is on the street, always a bit of a problem in that area during the Keswick Convention. I must say that the rental agency were very quick to sort out a problem (with an overgrown hedge leading up to the front door) we discovered when we first arrived - it would have been difficult for our friend in the wheelchair. Thank you Lakeland Cottages!
