Fantastic sea views and sunsets
We had the most amazing time at this beautiful cottage. The cottage sits right next to the coastal path with breath taking views across the sea. We found it to be a place of real tranquility and somewhere to escape from the stresses of the real world. The pictures really don't do this properly justice for you to fully appreciate the amazing sea views which you get from every room. It is clear that a lot of love and thought has gone into furnishing this property with quirky little features and reminders of the seaside throughout. Absolutely everything had been thought of and everything you could possibly need provided. We have been staying in holiday cottages across the UK for 13+ years and I have never come across a property owner thoughtful enough to provide electric blankets on all of the beds for the winter months where I can imagine they would be gratefully appreciated, not needed during our stay as we were lucky enough to have some beautiful weather but it was a thoughtful consideration none the less. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy upon arrival with plenty of towels, hand-wash and other basic essentials (toilet rolls, clothes wash, washing up liquid etc) provided. The gardens surrounding the property were very pretty and well maintained with lots of areas leading off from one another giving the place a magical vibe, a bit like a secret garden with different sections to explore and discover. Beacon Cottage is a very short 5 minute walk down to the bay where you can walk across the promenade and take in the beautiful scenery of Cemaes Bay. The pathways from the cottage and across the bay are all flat and paved making this an ideal property for guests with mobility difficulties or guests with walking aids. There is also a lovely pub on the same 5 minute route to the beach called The Stag which is the most northerly pub in Wales and a really nice place to enjoy a pint or two and a good meal. There are so many beautiful places to visit all within 30 minute drive of this property so we found it to be a fantastic location from which to visit Anglesey. Overall this property was an absolute gem and we cannot wait to visit again soon.

Our recent stay
We have just spent a wonderful week, in this superb cottage, in a stunning location. We found the cottage to be immaculate, well stocked, we wanted for nothing. There it's ample room for 8 + guests, and found the house very spacious. The location was stunning, with sea views from every room, and literally a 2 minute walk to the coastal walks, or 5 mins walk to the harbour and high street. The owner, Nina was very helpful and suggested plenty of places to visit, which we might not have seen otherwise. Overall, we would definitely recommend this property to anyone, we certainly will be back! Thank you Nina for a brilliant holiday.

A Christmas to remember
We read the reviews but also read between the lines, this little gem is a must & if you don't go then you are missing out. The photos don't really do it justice, the views from all the upper windows are just stunning. We arrived & the house was decorated for the season, it was warm & homely & within 30mins we were settled in. It was well stocked with everything we needed, the dining table was brilliant for Christmas Fare, as we like to cook & it is big enough to put everything on. Was worried would there be enough space in the lounge area, of course it was why wouldn?t it be as it states how big it is. Communication with owner was easy if you have any questions. We spent Christmas morning on the beach, blue skies, spotless beach, what more could we want. Anglesey was a little strange in that going out for something to eat was a little hard as not everywhere open, which is nuts as apparently most rentals on the island we're booked up. You would think everywhere would be open but just wasn?t. However if you go into Benllech & fancy breakfast or coffee & cake then head for The Shed, a lovely little place & it is open, friendly & great food & coffee. We have rented 70+ properties over the years so are qualified to state if this was a good rental or not & I can happily say it is. A little gem in Caemes Bay

Tired and not the cleanest, very small for 8 people
The property is not in a good state of maintenance. There's numerous damp patches on walls with the paint falling off and the wardrobe area in one room had paint flakes that brushed off onto coats. The one (between 8!) shower had suffered a broken screen some time ago and rather than be replaced, had a shower curtain that if not attacking you, was too long and tended to block the drain. Outside, rather than plumb it into a drain as you are meant to, the condensate pipe from the boiler discharges onto the gravel the path so you're always walking into the property with wet soles. I should imagine this will freeze in winter and be a serious slip risk. Every effort has been made to maximise the number of beds (8) but the rest of the property, apart from the dining table, is not commensurate with this- maybe 6 at most I would say- which is how many seats are available in the lounge. The cooker hood was covered in a layer of greasy dust, and the buttons surrounded by greasy fingerprints. Window ledges were generally covered with pebbles that can't be easily be dusted. The fridge (small for 8 people) leaked. The front door latch didn't work. There's only parking for 2 cars.
