Newport is a popular coastal town with its Golden Sands an inviting prospect for young and young-at-heart alike and is also home to a number of popular eateries such as Llys Meddyg, the Castle Inn and The Golden Lion.

The historians of the group will marvel at your location as next door is Castell Henllys Iron Age Hill Fort whilst a short drive takes you to the picture postcard sight of Pentre Ifan, an iconic Neolithic Burial Chamber. If nature is more your thing, then the nearby Dyfed Shire Horse Farm in Eglwyswrw tells the story of its proud links to Royal Drum Horses, whilst a visit further north to the popular market town of Cardigan offers the opportunity to take a boat trip out into Cardigan Bay to meet the resident bottle nosed dolphins and don't forget to make a visit to the Welsh Wildlife Centre near Cilgerran whilst you're in the area. For some exercise, a hike up into the nearby Preseli Hills and up to Carningli allows for stunning views of the Cardigan Bay coastline.
