The Boot is a 17th century Coaching Inn in the historic village of Repton Derbyshire. Dating back to 1649 it is thought The Boots original owner was a cobbler who hung an old boot outside the premises to let everyone know what he did and where he was and whilst mending footwear would offer customers ale and hospitality. Hospitality soon developed into offering places to sleep which thanks to the popularity of Repton was quickly extended to the passing coach trade on routes cross country through Mercia.
