Ducks swim in the River Wharfe with Bolton Abbey in the background. You can normally walk across the Wharfe via a set of medieval stepping stones, but unfortunately the stones were inaccessible when we visited due to high water levels. A footbridge provides an alternative, though less exciting, way across the river.
