The granite city of Aberdeen is the capital of this northern region, but there is more to see; this is whiskey country (well, much of Scotland can make that claim, but Grampian seems particularly well endowed in the distillery line). But there is much more, including the dramatic hills of the Grampian Highlands, and the gentler, more welcoming lands along the east coast.
