The Story Behind the Image - Tower of London at Night
Night falls over the Tower and London and the River Thames. I took this view of the illuminated Tower from Tower Bridge.
I actually made a special trip to photograph Tower Bridge as night fell, setting up my tripod on the embankment just outside the Tower of London. After I had finished photographing the bridge from the Tower I thought I'd turn the whole scene around and photograph the Tower from the bridge!
I love the mix of the old - the Tower of London - and the new - The Gherkin and the modern skyscrapers of London against the evening skyline.
