Shaftesbury Travel and Heritage Information
Sleeps a maximum of: 4
Pricing From: £316
The historic market-town of Shaftesbury sits 750 feet above sea-level, looking down onto the Blackmore Vale.
Ryecross Farm Cottage is just half a mile from Shaftesbury, surrounded by idyllic farmland. Built in stone, the cottage has recently been converted to offer accommodation for up to 4 people, all on one level. There is a shared garden that offers fantastic views across the Blackmore Vale and the potential for al fresco dining during the summer months.
The owner also owns a private fishing lake which you can use through prior arrangement. This cottage offers a haven in which to get away from it all but, if you are seeking night-life or a restaurant, then Shaftesbury is within easy access.

Excellent cottage, beautiful views!
Our break here was great. The cottage is well placed for access to a beautiful part of the country. Many excellent places to visit and great walks to be had. We saw some fantastic sunsets over the hills and valleys just sitting in the sitting room. The only slight reservation is that exiting the property onto a busy, narrow road with high hedges was a little nerve-racking, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
