This Scandinavian style lodge is located on White Cross Bay Park on the shores of Lake Windermere, sleeping 6 people in 3 bedrooms.

Striding Edge is a Scandinavian style lodge, situated on White Cross Bay Park on the shores of Lake Windermere. The lodge is all ground floor and sleeps six people in three bedrooms - one double, one room with adult bunks and one twin with 2’6” beds. There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The open plan living area has a fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with gas fire and patio door to the outdoor decked terrace with furniture. Off road parking is available for two cars. With lovely lakeside walks to enjoy, not to mention watersports and boat trips on the lake itself, and with a wealth of towns and villages to explore nearby, Striding Edge makes a great base for a lakeside family break in the Lake District.

Fabulous cosy stay in the Lakes
I cannot recommend Striding Edge Lodge highly enough. My partner I and our baby have had the best time staying here. The lodge is so lovely, clean, very homely and has such a cosy feel to it. The owners Jan and Rod have really taken care of their guests by providing everything you need to really feel at home. Including a bookshelf packed full of books, DVDs and board games for typical Lake District rainy days. We've loved sitting watching the birds from the living room window on the bird feeder. It's in the heart of the Lakes so has been easy to get to and from various nearby spots such as Ambleside and Windermere where we've had some lovely days out. The site it's based on has some fab facilities such as a swimming pool and bar/ restaurant that does lovely reasonably priced food. Oh and if you fancy a takeaway pizza we got one delivered from the local Sourdough pizza in Ambleside which was delicious! Also recommend Daisy's Cafe in Ambleside Town centre for a really good breakfast. We will definitely be back.

The location was fantastic and the lodge was the best equipped property I have ever stayed in. The owner has thought of everything! Its a real home from home.

The lodge we booked was ideal for our purposes, it was in a great location and well maintained. White Cross Bay is a good venue with lots of facilities.
Mr White

The lodge felt like a home from home. There was everything there that we needed and more (though a family argument did ensue when we attempted to play Pictionary!). The lodge was privately situated with decking that would have formed an excellent sun trap had we had a bit more sun. We would highly recommend to others.
Mrs Wood

We had a fantastic stay at Striding Edge. It was relaxing and had all the conveniences needed for a cottage holiday. The owners were very accommodating and provided a travel cot as needed for our 4 month old. The actual site facilities were great for families.
