Perfect base for walks or cycles in the north peaks
Cosy cottage in Buxworth clean and well equiped. perfect for walkers or cyclist's with secure bike storage very handy. walks from your door. Canal walks were lovely and longer walks up onto the hills were all close by from buxworth or a short drive away. Local pub in the village and a tesco and other shops and takeaways a short drive away at whaley bridge. Walking along the canal to whaley bridge was easy too. Our dog loved this holiday very dog friendly area. Lots of families cycling along the canal and the tram way and sett valley trail.

Wonderful location, peaceful and quiet. The cottage had a homely, well loved feel.

I feel that this cottage is more for young people, as at 60+ climbing on a chair to open high windows was not good, also the shower was quite dangerous with 6" step in out out with no hand rail, the separate wc was very small indeed, impossible to even sit properly on the wc. The bedrooms were ok, very comfortable beds. The kitchen was adequate, everything in it you would need, table for 4 to eat at. Lounge was quite a drab dark room, with 2 two seater sofa's, one was a sofa bed which was extremely uncomfortable. The courtyard garden was in fact a shared courtyard with 2 other cottages, very unhappy with that as we had our dog with us, and was unable to let him out there in case other people left gate onto road open. Other people had left comments in visitors book, but obviously they don't seem to think this important enough to change description. Cottage was also not cleaned very well, dust everywhere in lounge, kitchen sink had an old dishcloth tucked in drainer. Luckily the location was excellent so we still enjoyed our holiday, but wouldn't return to this property.

A great place to stay
We had a very happy week in this lovely cottage in Buxworth. The warm welcome on our arrival set the tine for the week. Everything was perfect - bar the locality's very slow internet connection!
