A wonderful, semi-detached cottage in the village of Whithorn, in Dumfries and Galloway, with three bedrooms accommodating up to six people.

Priory Walk is a wonderful, semi-detached cottage in Whithorn, in Dumfries and Galloway on the Machars peninsula. The cottage has three bedrooms upstairs; two king-size double rooms, one of which has an en-suite WC, plus a small double room and a family bathroom. The kitchen has a dining area and the sitting room has a woodburning stove.

The kitchen has doors that open onto the patio to the side of the cottage, where you can enjoy a barbecue and dining in the sunshine, in the summer. There is plenty of off road parking, and lots to see and do nearby, making Priory Walk a fantastic base for friends and family groups all year.

Nice cottage, Awful area.
We booked this cottage for a week, and when we arrived we were impressed, it's a lovely looking cottage and at first quite spacious, for 2. The kitchen/diner as everything you need and is lovely to sit and have breakfast, but in the evening the lounge is awful, the sofa isn't adequate for 2 adults to relax, and the alternative is two upright armchairs that would be more suitable in a nursing home. So I don't know how it could be suitable for 6 people, we had lovely weather which was a surprise in September for Scotland but you couldn't really set outside as it is more like an alleyway than a patio. I know it's not really related to the cottage but the town its in is the most depressing, deprived place we have stayed there is absolutely no where within walking distance to have lunch, a coffee, a beer absolutely nothing. Sorry forgot to say one small pub about 10 minutes walk away that still had Christmas decorations on the outside and looks filthy. This had us driving at least an hour plus to find a decent place for lunch or dinner. Our week stay here was cut short after 4 days and we drove to the lakes and booked in a hotel for the rest of the week. A place we would never go back.

A pleasant surprise
This is a charming little house in a quiet cut de sac off the main street. It is very well appointed with a high standard of fittings and linen throughout. What makes it really special is the thought the owners have put into every little detail. We went with friends who were equally impressed. A great few days of dashing about were made more enjoyable with the thought of such a cosy welcoming house to return to. Thoroughly recommended.

The property was beautiful; everything that you could need was there and ready for use. The real fire was a bonus and all ready for us to light. It is in a lovely location just off the main road and was very quiet. There are great dog friendly pubs in the area. A lovely place to use as a base and explore the beautiful area, coast line and beaches which our dog loved and so did we!

We had a fantastic holiday at this cottage. We could not fault anything about it, the attention to detail was great. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit that area and would also like to go back ourselves. Thank you to the owners, they have done a great job on this cottage.
