Upside-down, link-detached cottage with vaulted ceiling in Deganwy. Three ground floor bedrooms. Roof terrace.

Parking. WiFi. Beach short walk away.

Llandudno and Conwy 2 miles.

This fabulous, upside down link-detached cottage is located within a private estate, with views towards the Great Orme, and is set in the village of Deganwy, just two miles from Llandudno and Conwy. The cottage makes a perfect base for friends and families to gather and enjoy time together, and explore the beautiful coastline of North Wales. Nicely furnished and comfy, with a lovely homely feel throughout, this cottage is spacious and offers three good-size bedrooms on the ground floor, together with a well-appointed family bathroom and additional WC.

The living accommodation on the first floor has comfy seating for everyone and is a splendid, sociable space with a high-vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, plus dual aspect windows framing views of the garden towards the Great Orme and the West Shore. There is also a dining area with a captain’s table and sliding patio doors leading out onto the decked roof terrace. With further seating outside and beautiful views, it is a wonderful place for alfresco entertaining or a spot to simply relax and soak up the sunshine with a refreshing drink, served from your very own bar! From the sitting room a spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine snug, where you can escape to for a bit of quiet time with a good book! With lots of memorabilia on display, there is a definite maritime theme running through the cottage.

There’s even a ship’s wheel and porthole with a sea view from the galley kitchen! The gardens, predominately to the front of this lovely coastal cottage, are well tended to and lawned with deep beds and borders planted with an abundance of mature shrubs, small trees and plants. An external spiral staircase leads up to the roof terrace, which provides more private outdoor space. The covered car port and block-paved driveway provide plenty of parking, and an external utility room provides secure storage for bikes and golf clubs.

From the doorstep is a lovely walk across the golf course to the sandy West Shore Beach, where you can follow one of the many walks, varying in lengths, up to and around the Great Orme summit. If your holiday is more about taking it easy, you can take the Great Orme Tramway or cable car, and enjoy some of the most spectacular views of this beautiful coastline. Llandudno, with its Victorian pier and promenade, and Conwy’s medieval castle and attractive harbour are only two miles away and well-worth a visit.

The Snowdonia National Park, Llyn Peninsula and the wonderful Isle of Anglesey are all within easy reach too, offering endless opportunities for exciting days out. In a great location, this cottage provides an ideal for a holiday discovering North Wales, all year long.

No live TV and poor wi-fi
It's a nice house, but there were a few issues with our stay. The double bed we slept in was comfortable, but I noticed a very small stain on the throw. The wi-fi signal downstairs is so poor that you have to take your mobile, etc., upstairs to use the Internet. It's also worth noting that there isn't a bath, just a shower. Furthermore, the electric hob in the kitchen was not in a good state and there weren't any oven gloves. The big disappointment was, though, the lack of live TV and I couldn't stream any TV downstairs due to the poor wi-fi signal, when I used my computer. It wouldn't have been so much of a problem in the Summer due to the long daylight-hours; but in the Winter, when the attractions close at 4pm and the shops in Conwy at 5pm, this is a real problem. To avoid getting bored in the evening and dining in a silent house, we made sure we visited some pubs in and around Snowdonia.

Quirky house.
Had a lovely week here at beginning of November. Really quirky house with bags of character. Location is ideal for the beach and perfect for exploring Snowdonia, Anglesey and surrounding area. Only problem was the lack of curtains in the living dining area when we stayed. There are blinds but it made the rooms feel cold and hollow. Also basics like oven gloves were missing. Apart from this the house was nice.

Fab quirky house
The house is very quirky and it's like an exploration when you get here going over the 3 floors finding nooks and crannies including the porthole sea view! The upstairs balcony is fab with new great seating much better than shown on the photos and a BBQ for summer evenings. There is everything you could ask for, extra fridge freezer in the storeroom where there is a washer and dryer too. The beds are fab and comfy. Lovely area to visit places around the coast. All in all a fab holiday stay.

Lovely location & very quiet
We had a lovely stay in the house. Lovely BBQ and roof terrace, lovely location for dog walks and views of the Great Orme and Snowdonia. The location of the property was so nice and quiet, the street was quiet. Driveway parking and everything you need just a short drive away. We have a fantastic week here a great place to have as a base to the explore North Wales from. Good communication from the Landlady direct and nothing was too much of an issue. Lovely stay made for a lovely holiday. Thank you!

We enjoyed the quirkiness of the property, it was very different from anywhere that we have stayed before. There were lots of extra touches, it was not just a bare holiday let. The house had lots of character and excellent coastal walks right on it's doorstep in both directions.
