One night
We only stayed here for one night due to an incident at the cottage. We then asked to be moved. I am a bit confused by other reviews. Everyone says the double glazing hides the noise of the traffic. This is so far from the truth. It is all you can hear 24/7. It's horrific. We didn?t sleep. You can near enough touch the lorries, buses that drive by all hours of the day. We live in the centre of a city and the noise is nothing compared to this. We couldn?t even hear the tv very well. This is definitely Not a holiday. There is no proper curtains so we had four blankets up at the windows trying to hide the sun and light so our daughter could sleep. The plastic sheet in the bathroom at the window flaps so anyone can see in. Surely window frosting would be better. The shower curtain was mouldy. The bedding is washed in something so strong it gave us headaches. The freezer was very dirty inside. One of the owners was so helpful and helped get an item to us so thank you. The other owner turned up at the property seemingly drunk. I think this cottage is beautiful but just in the wrong location.

Perfectly located; this charming, modernised cottage has a lovely warm vibe.
If you have a young family and a dog then look no further. 5 minutes walk to the train for Sandown in one direction, and 2 minutes up the main street in the other you'll find a modern family pub with an adventure playground. You are also literally opposite a great chippie and well stocked local store. Wee Cot is also perfectly located for driving to all the usual main attractions on the island. If you want something with class that is understated and quiet in terms of a dog friendly beach in the summer, head into Seagrove. Now the cottage... Everything is as you'd want it to be, secure garden, comfortable furniture, clean, etc. Our kids loved it. The owners are also very welcoming. They sorted out a cot and a high chair for us and even posted our 2 years olds' soft toy puppy back that we forgot!

Perfect cosy cottage
I believe we were the first guests to stay in this newly renovated property, hence no previous reviews. The owners go overboard to make sure your stay is as comfy as possible. It's such a lovely cosy, homely cottage, 400 years old with all mod cons, everything you could possibly need, perfect for a family of 4 or a couple. We have absolutely no complaints at all! Loved it. In fact, we felt so much at home there that we didn't want to leave! Don't worry about the road in front of the property - it's not too busy and the double glazing shields most of any road noise. And it's only a 5 minute walk to a secure free parking site, and the pub next door lets you use their carpart to load and unload. Oh, and the pub's visitors must be mice, as we never heard a thing day or night. A really lovely little cottage that I highly recommend.
