The old bath house in Bangor, north Wales
Looks lovely in the photos, but ... it's shabby, needs loads of remedial work doing, dirty and sub standard. Full of clutter and frankly appalling. The owner is very confrontational and quite intimidating.
The worst experience we've ever had. Strongly do not recommend. Stay somewhere else, loafs of other choices. Do not waste your money.

good location, needs some tlc
Location is good and the property has great potential with some tlc. Photos are flattering, dining table is actually an outdoor bench dressed up with place settings. The rattan furniture has been replaced with rusted metal furniture, although the barbecue and benches outside were good, same as the dining room bench. The garden was well contained for dogs, they could not get out. The access road is tough for a wide vehicle, a rock face and a stone wall, the beach access was never a problem. Inside, the tv was a good size and the wi fi worked well. The wiring was unusual, not channeled but glued to the wall with trunking over it. The staircase is steep and narrow and could be a worry for older people or young children. The upstairs shower room, toilet seat would not stay up, the shower could only be turned on and off from outside the shower, the shower head could not be adjusted as the clamp was broken, the shaver outlet would only work with the lights on, so no good for charging toothbrushes or razors. The floors in both bathrooms would have benefitted from floor tiling as the pieces of vinyl flooring looked worn and stained. The upstairs bedroom was covered with woodchip that was bubbled and coming away in places. Downstairs bathroom was adequate, toilet seat was broken and needed tightening, the bath tub and screen were adequate although the finish could have been better. Tiling (metro tiles) and grouting looked like the work of a proficient diy-er. I see the rental prices for this property have been reduced lately, possibly a reflection of what's available now that covid is over and overseas travel is an option again. Bangor was well provided with supermarkets and other storesand restaurants.

A cosy house with lots of character
A wonderful family weekend break. On arrival we were welcomed by Chris the owner of the house. He showed us round, explaining how everything works. Fresh bread in the kitchen and beautiful Fresh flowers in the lounge . A nice touch. The bedrooms are bright spacious and most of all very comfy beds. Kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed. The whole house is spotless. Outside a massive garden and plenty of space for parking. I wish we'd booked for longer. Looking forward to returning again. I highly recommend. Thanks again Chris for a fantastic stay.
