This comfortable property is very well located centrally in Rhosneigr.
Close the beach shops, restaurants and cafes. Wifi and
woodburning stove.
Arkoo holiday house is probably one of the best locations in the popular seaside town of Rhosneigr, located on the west coast of Anglesey. Harrison Drive is just a hop and skip to everything - the beach, the shops, the ice cream parlour and every water sport you can think of. Or just enjoy pottering on the beach finding a cowrie.
Bliss! "Harrison Drive is the place to be in Rhosneigr, and I have known Arkoo since I was a child! A happy, comfy, family house, literally a hop and skip from everything, but most importantly the beach!" As well as enjoying the variety of watersports on offer there are some fantastic walks nearby, as well as fishing, golf courses and horse riding.

Idyllic location for summertime family fun!
Located in one of the most prime locations in Rhosneigr, our time at Arkoo has been blissful and we will be certainly visiting again!! A stone's throw from the beach and the centre of the village, we enjoyed both the comfort of a cozy and well-appointed cottage as well as the glorious view down to the sea. When the weather is kind here, the sunsets rival the Med!! Yes Rhosneigr can be busy at peak times, but tucked away in our perfectly located pad we were able to take a break from the crowds. Torn between writing a rave review and keeping quiet because we want to keep Arkoo to ourselves?.. ;)

The Good, The Bad and the Needs Some TLC
We stayed for a week in September 2020 and overall enjoyed our holiday.
The Good. Arkoo is located literally seconds from the beach with off road parking space for one car (note: the parking in the street gets very busy due to people parking to visit the beach). The property is well equipped and quite large and is just a. Few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of Rhosneigr.
The Bad. The mattresses on both double beds are both well past their best, worn and sagging. As a result, we had to sleep separately in order to be able to get any sleep. Additionally, the settees in the lounge are very old, quite grubby and the metrical is worn and ripped. The cushions have been crushed down and are very thin and uncomfortable in places. Finally, we visited during Covid-19 and spent the first two hours cleaning ourselves as the cleaning wasn?t very thorough. The microwave had food spattered throughout and the cooker had food spilled on the hob that hadn?t been cleaned off. In the bathroom there is a small ledge where the plaster meets the tiling and this was covered in dust. All of the picture frames had first on them also.
The Needs TLC
Overall the property needs a little money spending on it and modernising. Furnishings are all a little old and the decoration is quite old. The garden furniture is past its best and the property has signs of damp with some peeling paint and plaster coming away from the wall behind the wicker basket by the door. The property smells of damp to the extent that we washed all of our clothes when we got home even those we hadn?t worn.
Overall this is a nice house in an amazing location but, the owner needs to spend some money and modernise the place, especially the beds as a good nights sleep should be the minimum you can expect. We would definitely go back to Rhosneigr which is a lovely place and we would return to Rhosneigr but only if some money was spent.

fab location
Very close to the beach, just maybe a minute walk! Second beach with less people on the boats/ jet ski just 5 minutes walk. But both great ! comfy bedrooms, relaxed and good size lounge, well set-up kitchen with cosy dinning room and outside spaces. You will find everything you need in the house :) Living room could do with small redecoration/update, but we had a fab time anyway, plenty space to play games.Good shower/spacy bathroom, clean and dishwasher is a bonus.Easy access to the house. Cottage close to the shops/restaurants/ delicious fish&chips and cheeky icecream place just behind the corner. Also icecream place sells tasty burgers and baguettes :) Gorgeous views with amazing atmosphere on the beaches that you wont have enough of. Amazing location/place! RAF planes can be sometimes spotted over the town, a bit noisy but for the very short time. Additional atraction. Highly recommended! :)
