Be wary if you have children or dogs
During our stay one of the party was attacked by the two boxer dogs from the neighbouring large house. They were off the lead and out of control. Despite an apology from the dogs' owners and assurances that the dogs would be kept indoors, the next day they were loose in their garden and trying to get to us as we walked up to the cottage. The dog attack was reported to the police who had a crime number and said a voluntary agreement would be reached with the owners to keep the dogs under control - in effect, a waste of time. As you cannot reach Windy Ridge without passing this property, the potential for a further attack is high. I dread to think what could happen to a child if these two dogs decided to attack. The dogs a large and powerful and the owner struggled to calm them when they attacked our party. We did put a review on the booking agents' site but it was taken down after two days as they said the house had new owners and it was only fair to them. If someone else is attacked, how fair would that be? Such actions are totally irresponsible. Dog attacks are serious.
